NO STOCK // NO SLAVE LABOR // NO MASS PRODUCTION // ETHICALLY MADE // ENVIRONMENTALLY FRIENDLY

FOR OVER 5 YEARS, FRENCHIE YORK HAS BEEN FOCUSING ON THE CONCEPT OF "MADE TO ORDER"

we are against everything that defines fast fashion/mass produced clothing.

we believe consumers are tired of clothing being produced unethically, having their GARMENTS

fall apart after a handful of washes and being made with cheap material

NO INVENTORY = NO EXCESS STOCK TO THROW IN LANDFILLS AFTER EVERY SEASON

NO MASS PRODUCTION = ELIMINATES THE USE OF SLAVE LABOR FACTORIES

EACH PIECE MADE TO ORDER = GIVES THE OPTION OF STANDARD OR CUSTOM SIZING

MADE TO LAST = NOT USING FAST FASHION MEANS QUALITY FABRICS ARE ALWAYS USED

AFFORDABLE = KEEPING THINGS REAL

why we do things this way at frenchie york

SOME OF THE BIGGEST ISSUES IN THE FASHION INDUSTRY ARE SLAVE/child LABOR factories AND EXCESS STOCK.

OUR CONCEPT OF MAKING EVERY PIECE TO ORDER CAN HELP ELIMINATE THESE PROBLEMS.

the average American throws away over 68 pounds of textiles per year into landfill because

consumers purchase clothing accepting the idea it will fall apart in a short time frame.

Industry estimates suggest that 20 to 60 percent of garment production is sewn at home by informal workers

which include children.

the concept was created

in 2012, founder sera bomba moved to bali, indonesia to find a way to begin a clothing line

without using the typical unethical mass produced technique the fashion industry was ACCUSTOMED to.

she discovered that bali was full of talented tailor seamtresses and decided to merge the idea of

fast fashion and custom made to order clothing and frenchie york was created in a small home factory of talented

tailors who worked their own hours, could take their children to work and were paid above award wages.

frenchie york's first showroom was launched in 2013 in ubud.
